Overview
Our Asagi Koi Fish Feed is a colour feed built for the varieties that most colour feeds get wrong. An Asagi is judged on two things at once: the clean blue net of the scales along the back, and the depth of the red running up the flanks, cheeks and fin joints. Push pigment too hard and the red bleeds upward into the blue; feed too plainly and the red never develops at all. This pellet is formulated to hold that balance.
Natural carotenoids from marigold, paprika and astaxanthin build warmth in the hi without overwhelming it, while a rich marine protein base supports the clean, even scale reticulation that gives a good Asagi its definition. Colour only develops in a fish that digests well, so the recipe is built around absorption first — a complete nutritional profile that holds condition and vitality while the pattern matures.
The floating pellet is firm, low-dust and slow to break down, letting fish feed at the surface without loading the water. Best fed through the warmer months, when metabolism is high and pigment uptake is at its strongest.
