Built For Finnage
Quality protein and a generous oil level support the long pectorals, tail and barbels that define the variety.
Our Butterfly Koi Feed is formulated for long-finned koi, where the fins are the whole point of the fish. Flowing pectorals, a trailing tail and long barbels are living tissue that has to be grown and then maintained across the whole season — and they are the first thing to show when a fish is underfed, splitting at the edges, thinning, or losing the clean line that makes a butterfly worth keeping.
The recipe is built around quality protein and a generous oil level to support finnage development and the sheen across the body, with omega-3 and omega-6 balanced for skin and fin condition rather than raw growth. Long fins also make for slower, more deliberate feeders, so the pellet is extruded to float and to hold together well past the point where a cheaper feed would cloud the water — butterflies can take their time at the surface without the pond paying for it. Fed through the warmer months, it keeps fins full, colour clean and condition steady.

Balanced omega-3 and omega-6 help maintain clean fin edges and a healthy sheen across the body.
High water stability gives long-finned koi time to feed at the surface without fouling the pond.
